Last week, the “Flotte! Der Branchentreff” trade fair took place, where Phoenix Contact was represented with its innovative Charge Repay Service. Visitors had the opportunity to learn extensively about the Charge Repay Service at booth H13. The trade fair, ideal for fleet decision-makers, presented a variety of solutions, including our innovative and patented solution.
Retrofit Solution for Private Charging Stations
Numerous trade fair visitors took the opportunity to engage in informative and stimulating discussions about the benefits and applications of the Charge Repay Service. Particularly interesting for many was our retrofit solution for private wallboxes. With our service, any wallbox, even non-intelligent ones, can be retrofitted and enabled for billing. For this purpose, we install an electricity meter and a gateway in the wallbox’s supply line, which is mounted in the fuse box. This retrofit solution attracted great interest as it enables efficient and reliable company car billing with any wallbox.
Presentation by Anton Schönenberg
Another highlight was the presentation by Anton Schönenberg on March 26 on Stage 2. Under the title “Charge@Home: Legally compliant company car billing for all wallbox models in the home area,” Anton Schönenberg reported on the history of the Charge Repay Service at Phoenix Contact and the challenges of connecting electric company cars in the home area at that time. Anton explained that the service was developed internally at Phoenix Contact and extensively tested before it was launched in early 2024. He then detailed the service and the retrofit solution. After the presentation, many attendees visited our booth, and numerous good conversations ensued.
